About WSX

WSX is a wholly owned subsidiary of Southern Enterprise Alliance (SEA) which is a private, not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. SEA are the holding company of a small group that is engaged in developing the local economy by providing services and support to businesses and collaborating with partners to deliver enterprise and economic development projects.

SEA is a membership company limited by guarantee that does not pay any dividends, but aims to invest any surpluses it generates back into its principal activity of supporting small and medium sized businesses, through its operating companies.

The Company

WSX, previously known as Business Link Wessex, has 200 employees with the majority employed in customer facing roles for Business Link. It currently has a turnover of £15.5 million.

The Board of WSX currently has 12 directors, 9 of which are non-executive directors who are nominated by the SEA Board. SEA non-executive directors are elected by the membership of SEA. Membership of the Boards of SEA and WSX are currently identical.
