A New Year, A New Challenge – Juncker’s 10 Priorities
We’ve reached 2016 and the challenges are not getting any easier, for the EU. We are experiencing a lot of unrest around the world, with the plight of thousands of migrants escaping a war zone and climate change causing more catastrophes hitting the headlines almost daily.
This will be a very busy year for the EU and EC, trying to ensure policies are implemented effectively to stabilise the region on both a humanitarian and economic level.
We will also be bringing you news on the UK EU referendum, when it becomes available. Talks are still ongoing, and this will set the tone and date for the promised referendum.
We will be using our bi-monthly newsletter to keep you up to date with the various policies and agendas that form Juncker’s 10 priorities, and how they are performing.
We often hear the question ‘Who is Juncker?’ – A full breakdown on who he is and what he does/hopes to achieve, can be found here: http://ec.europa.eu/commission/2014-2019/president_en but a quick synopsis would be:
- Jean Claude Juncker
- President of the European Commission
- Term Time – 2014 – 2019
- Determines policy agenda
