Aldershot Enterprise Centre has been selected for ‘Enterprising Britain Awards’

The 2017 Enterprising Britain Awards opened for entries in March 2017. The Enterprising Britain Awards are open to UK public organisations that are local, regional or national and to private organisations working in partnership with public sector bodies or organisations.

The Enterprising Britain Awards have been run each year since 2003 and attract entries from all parts of the United Kingdom from public organisations that are local, regional or national and to private organisations working in partnership with public sector bodies or organisations.

There are 4 categories in the awards, and for 2017 there will be a new emphasis on projects that can demonstrate their impact on Scale Up within their activity. This overall focus on Scale Up can apply to a project submitted in any of the 4 categories.

The award categories in 2017 have remained the same as in recent years and are:

  • Promoting entrepreneurial spirit
  • Building enterprise skills
  • Improving the business environment
  • Support for exporting

Let’s wish Lorna, the centre office manager, and her team all the best of luck and hope to see them sipping congratulatory champagne later in the year.
