CHAIN at Seawork 2013 International – Great Event!
UK CHAIN partners welcomed a trade delegation from Normandy and Brittany to meet with UK companies at Seawork 2013.
Seawork International was held in the Port of Southampton on 25-27 June 2013 and is the largest and fastest growing commercial marine and workboat exhibition to be held in a European working port. It attracted 450 exhibitors and over 7000 visitors from around the world, offering a ‘one stop shop’ for buyers and sellers providingaccess to the commercial marine and workboat markets.
The CHAIN networking programme was led by WSX Enterprise and included access to the Seawork exhibition, participation in the conference programme and business networking opportunities . These comprised a business convention on the CHAIN stand, a networking lunch at the Mayflower terminal and an evening networking dinner at the Royal Southampton Yacht Club. A party was also treated to a tour of Southampton’s National Oceanography Centre.
A total of 40 UK and French companies attended the CHAIN programme over the three days, most of whom reported success in their meetings, with at least one making a major purchase. The French companies found the event informative and beneficial in terms of new contacts made and are looking forward to consolidating these contacts on their return.
