Eurobarometer: European citizens are seriously concerned about climate change

Some 92% of EU citizens now see climate change as a serious problem and 74% see it as a very serious problem, the results show.

The vast majority (79%) of EU citizens also believe that fighting climate change and using energy more efficiently will bring economic benefits.

Nearly nine in ten believe it is important for their national government to set targets to increase renewable energy use by 2030 and provide support for improving energy efficiency.
