Success Strategies For Women: Accelerate Your Career – Bournemouth – Dorset Growth Hub
February 14 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm| Free - £300.00
Do you want to accelerate your career, gain valuable insights into how you can progress towards your goals and gain a broader understanding of your potential? If so…what’s stopping you?
Do you ask yourself why women – the academic overachievers – under-deliver against their career and salary potential? Is it about motherhood, discrimination or lack of drive? Does it matter, and if it does matter, is there anything that can be done? This interactive and informative half-day workshop will guide you to the answers to these questions.
In partnership with Diana Parkes, psychologist, author, social entrepreneur and, founder of The Women’s Sat Nav to Success, following a career with global organisations such as Mars, Coca-Cola, Carlsberg and Glendinning Management Consultants; this workshop aims to provide strategies for success to women working within businesses and organisations with 5 or more employees in Dorset.
The Women’s Sat Nav to Success has led an extensive research programme with women in leadership to distil the practical, proven and sustainable solutions to the challenges for women of getting the work they want for the rewards they deserve. During the workshop, Diana will be sharing these insights and strategies with you to enable you to achieve your career goals faster and more comfortably.
Insights into where women are today in the world of work
The value of gender-balanced workforces and leadership teams.
An understanding of the factors that affect women’s progression in the workplace.
An introduction to the strategic enablers of success (identified exclusively by the foundation research of ‘The Women’s Sat Nav to Success’) in order to unlock strategies to success and career progression
An opportunity to carry out a self-assessment, including identifying personal accelerators and brakes affecting development progress as well as additional tools focussing on medium, and longer term, career plans.
An opportunity for individual delegates to prioritise the strategies that will have the greatest beneficial impact for them and their ambitions
The framework to pinpoint the highest returns for personal progress with immediately actionable plans
You will leave with a clear strategy, a new sense of purpose and opportunity to drive forward with personal prioritised plans to deliver newly articulated goals within your workplace.
The workshop will start at 9am and finish at 2pm, including an informal lunch.
This two-part event includes a 1-2-1 follow up mentoring session to be held on the 28th February with Diana, to review challenges identified to ensure that you can make a fast and effective start to your enhanced development plan.
You will have formed bonds with other attendees having had the space, security and stimulus to discuss topics which have become virtually taboo (e.g. the challenges of parental responsibilities; single parenting; not wanting to progress). We hope this workshop will connect a community of women and keep the momentum going via regular networking groups.
