As the Women in Engineering Society celebrates its 100th birthday, and the SWIB Woman in Engineering Award Winner is announced, we look ahead to recruiting and retaining the next generation of women in engineering as part of the business programme at Poole Maritime Festival.
Hear inspiring stories from our guest panel and join round table discussions with manufacturers and engineers from across the region.
Anjie Rook, Business Support and Services Director with the RNLI, Lesley Keets, COO from Actisense and Victoria Sergeant from Siemens will be sharing their experiences of working within engineering and manufacturing, followed by round table discussions which look at the challenges of recruiting and retaining women in engineering.
Diana Parkes will also be explaining the Womens Sat Nav to Success survey.
Who should attend? Senior Managers from Engineering and Manufacturing, Marine, Education and Recruitment with an interest in inspiring the next generation of engineers and innovators.
This workshop is completely free and funded by the European Regional Development Fund. It’s delivered by Dorset Growth Hub and WSX Enterprise. It is only open to Dorset, UK registered SME’s and aspiring entrepreneurs within home addresses in Dorset, UK postcodes.
