New Start Up Course Programme For Rural Dorset

New Start Up Course Programme For Rural Dorset

Posted 13/02/2013

WSX Enterprise, the business start-up and growth experts, have announced a new series of training courses aimed specifically at people living in rural Dorset who have either just started a business, or are considering working for themselves.

The 2 day training programme is entitled ‘New In Business’ and provides the essential information and guidance required to start and manage a successful business. Topics covered include: Business Planning, Sales and Marketing and Finance. The course is presented by an experienced entrepreneur and offers the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and receive real-world advice. Statistics clearly indicate that those people who take qualified advice and produce a robust business plan significantly increase their chances of success for a sustainable business.

Costs for these courses are heavily subsidised due to funding provided by the Rural Development Programme for England, through two locally based organisations – Chalk & Cheese and Sowing Seeds. Both organisations programmes are focused on the needs of rural communities and improving the quality of rural life. ‘New in Business’ provides a real opportunity for people to learn and move forward with their plans with clear direction and focus. Attendance at any of these 2 day courses costs just £10.00. Places are very limited so early booking is advised.

WSX will deliver the training at different venues in Dorset, with two courses per month for the coming months. The first course will be held on 25th/26th February in Poundbury and is for people who live in the Dorchester area.

Chris Darlow, from WSX Enterprise, comments: “these courses are ideal for anyone living and working in rural Dorset who has a business idea but just needs that extra push or encouragement to move forward. Dorset boasts one of the highest numbers of start-up businesses in the country and we expect the courses to be very popular.”

* Please note that these programmes are subject to eligibility criteria*
