Over the last two years, we have mentored more than 40 companies and 25 of these projects have deployed in the marketplace already, or will come to market in 2016. We’ve helped businesses finish product development through final tests, research and break into new markets, scale their idea from prototype to viable product and create circular economy partnerships between businesses.

The Design Programme

The Design Programme has helped businesses reap the benefits of developing more sustainable products and services, creating greener packaging and using sustainability as a driver for innovation and a route to new markets.

Through the Less=More project, we helped its client businesses increase their Gross Value Added by £19.6 million; created 53 jobs; and created a return of £8.91 on public investment for every £1 spent.


FoodWise was a FREE programme that worked with small and medium sized businesses in the food and drink production and hospitality sectors across the South East. We helped 55 businesses reduce waste in all of their businesses processes from buying, production, distribution and disposal.

Communities Living Sustainably

The CLS programme brought together different strands of sustainable activity in Dorset. One of the businesses to benefit from WSX’s involvement with CLS was Christine’s Puddings based in Sturminster Newton.

Driving Urban Enterprise

Entrepreneurs in areas of Weymouth, Portland, Bournemouth and Poole can access business support activities and events through the Driving Urban Enterprise programme.

Air, Land and Sea

If you run a business within the aviation, marine and engineering sectors across the South of England then you could access free business mentoring or coaching.

Super Fast Business

Superfast Business offers fully funded support to help ambitious businesses in the South West with a focus on rural areas to grow from the opportunities that superfast broadband and new technologies present.


Small and medium sized businesses have been helped to access finance, thanks to the DIFASS programme and the exchange of innovative business support measures.


This partnership of 14 business support organisations from both sides of the Channel worked together to bring you the best methods on making your business grow.
