Small one-off grants for Social Enterprise – Promoting Social Enterprise in Portsmouth
The Partnership Foundation has joined with key city partners to launch this new initiative supporting social enterprise in Portsmouth. The University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth City Council, Shaping Portsmouth and others are working together to encourage the creation and growth of this important sector.
The Partnership Foundation is offering one-off grants from a fund of £60,000 to help social enterprises that are starting up, growing or responding to their challenging business environment.
Grants will range from £500 to £5,000 & possibly more.
The University of Portsmouth is working with Highbury College, the Cathedral Innovation Centre and the Council for Social Responsibility to launch Social Startup Portsmouth.
During the spring and summer of 2015 the programme will provide the tools and a series of interactive workshops for budding social entrepreneurs of all ages to get their social or community venture off the ground.
All partner organisations are committed to providing the vital business support networks, encouragement and guidance to make sure all these enterprises succeed and play their full part in our local economy.
