The Southern Policy Centre was established in 2014 as the think tank and educational charity for central southern England.
Their focus stretches broadly from Dorset to West Sussex, and the Isle of Wight to Oxfordshire.
Above all, their work will always be rooted in practical policy making. They work with leaders in business, government at all levels and the third sector to make sure our research has real impact for southern England.
As part of Hampshire County Council’s consultation with local businesses over its proposals for devolution, they would like to invite you to take part in a focus group on 9am on Monday 10th of October at the Aldershot Enterprise Centre.
Message below is from Flic Goodyear, the Research Project Manager:
“The group we are inviting you to participate in will be made up of leaders of smaller businesses based in north Hampshire and will be moderated by Professor John Denham, former MP and now Chair of the Southern Policy Centre (SPC). The SPC is an independent, cross-party think-tank which is focused on making sure the South has a strong voice in its negotiations with central government during the devolution process.
It’s vital for businesses across Hampshire to have their say in influencing what future options might be pursued in Hampshire, in terms of structures for both local government and economic leadership, and how they would prefer to see the relationship between businesses and local authorities develop in the future.
If you are able to attend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call me on 07737 714455 if you require any further information.
