WSX Enterprise presence at COEER conference
This year the Congress of European Emerging Regions (CoEER) is taking place in the Region of Beja in Portugal on the 11-13 September.
The Congress is aimed at distinguishing the best examples of integrated policies that drive regions and municipalities to emerge in a context of global competition. It offers a unique annual opportunity to network with emergent players, to get involved with emergent regions, and to discuss emergent ideas.
During the Congress key note and case study presentations will be delivered along with debates and bilateral meetings, organised into ten sessions.
- Plenary sessions
- Thematic sessions
- Investment Fair
- Field visits
- Ideas lounge
- Round tables
Kathryn Havering, Project Manager at WSX Enterprise, will be making a presentation on the DIFASS project. This forms part of the plenary session entitled ‘Emerging regions tomorrows – new business and economic growth’. This session will discuss financing mechanisms which may help companies and regions to succeed under a shared value perspective. The presentation will include the background and objectives of the DIFASS project along with an overview of lessons learnt from the DIFASS case studies.
The DIFASS project facilitates access to finance for SMEs by exchanging innovative business support measures across Europe. The focus is on the development and implementation of non-grant based financial support instruments, such as revolving funds, transregional funds and venture capital funds. The project is supported by the INTERREG IVC Programme.
