Southern Enterprise Alliance Group delivers business advice and employability support in the South of England. We work with many people keen to find work, start a business as well as established businesses giving them the skills and tools to grow. Working for our exciting new project, New Directions, this part-time role will be an integral part of the team. New Directions will support young women to find their way in life including employment, gaining life skills, training and help with starting a business. The project is based at the Aldershot Enterprise Centre in central Aldershot.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivating Employability Adviser to join our team. We would like to hear from you if you have experience in providing employability advice to people far removed from the workplace.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled employability adviser/coach who will actively be involved in activities related to employability support, ensuring that the project objectives are met, and bringing participants closer to the job market and into sustainable employment.

Through 1:1 coaching, workshops and networking activities you will support participants to build self-awareness and confidence.

Roles & Responsibilities:

As an Employability Adviser, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing caseloads of individuals who are either seeking employment, training opportunities or planning to start a business
  • Providing information, advice and guidance to participants to enhance their employment skills
  • Organising and supporting workshops and events related to employability
  • Registering participants, ensuring that they meet the eligibility criteria and comply with the requirements
  • Work with the project team to ensure the best possible outcome for the participant.
  • Identifying any support needs of the participants and directing them to relevant interventions as needed
  • Recording participants’ progress on the Customer Record Management (CRM) system
  • Meeting the project-specific Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets

Experience and Skills:

As an Employability Adviser, ideally, you will need the following to be successful:

  • An IAG qualification at level 4
  • Experience in providing information, advice and guidance, mentoring, and coaching in an employability environment
  • Knowledge of local support services, jobs and training providers
  • Ability to reach and exceed targets
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Be a team player
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivating Life Coach to join our team. We would like to hear from you if you have experience providing life coaching to young people.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver a range of soft skills/life skills sessions and interventions to project participants
  • Work closely with participants to identify their specific needs and develop bespoke support plans
  • Foster positive relationships with participants, referral agencies and colleagues to create a supportive environment
  • Monitor and assess participants’ progress, providing feedback and support as necessary
  • Collaborate with other members of the project team to ensure the best possible outcomes for participants.

Requirements

  • Experience working with young women who require alternative provision due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
  • Knowledge of relevant life skills frameworks and intervention methods
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and dynamic life skills sessions to young people of varying ages and abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with participants and colleagues
  • Recording participants’ progress on the Customer Record Management (CRM) system
  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Admin skills to record participants’ progress.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in coaching, mentoring, or counselling
  • Proof of registration with a professional body.
