Speed You Up – Is it for me? An introduction to self-employment.
June 29 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am BSTFree
About this event
The introductory sessions will take place every last Tuesday of the month.
Find out what it is like to run your own business!
If you are between 16 and 25, live in Surrey or Hampshire and not go to work, this might be something for you.
This is a European funded project which will help you to discover your skills and talents and advise you on how to choose a type of business you could run in the future. The project will guide you through all the stages of a business set up and give you confidence and knowledge needed when you are self-employed or when you are working for someone else.
This first session explains the aims of the ‘Speed You Up’ project such as identifying skills and talents, choosing a career path and then advising on setting up a business.
After this introductory webinar, we will be running 4 more sessions which will talk in detail about business ideas, skills, business planning and business set-up.
You will need to contact Speed You Up project Coordinator to book further sessions.
If you attend all 5 sessions you will receive a certificate of the course completion. You will be able to add the course to your CV as well.
This event has certain eligibility criteria that need to be met for participation:
• Are you aged 16 to 25? YES
